During the Thursday meeting of the Carson City Board of Supervisors, a $125,000 settlement demand was approved by the Board in regards to the alleged molestation of a five-year-old child who was, at the time, enrolled at Camp Carson.

Each semester, CCSF gives back to educators and students alike. The Capital City Arts Initiative and Western Nevada College present "Metallum Terrae" an exhibition by Kyle Karrasch in the college’s Bristlecone Gallery, 2201 W College Parkway, Carson City now through Dec. 17, 2020. The gallery is open to the public, Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The Stewart Indian School Cultural Center and Museum announced Wednesday it is temporarily closing to the public to comply with Gov. Steve Sisolak’s request for Nevadans to stay home to bring the virus numbers down over the next 2 weeks.
