Weather Service: Breezy cool down returns this week around Carson City region
Submitted by Jeff Munson on Mon, 03/30/2015 - 2:51pmSeveral weak systems will pass through the Sierra and northwest Nevada this week bringing a cooling trend to the region, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
While high temperatures will be near to just slightly below normal, it will feel downright chilly compared to the record or near record warmth the past five days. In addition to the cooler temperatures, breezy conditions are expected today and Tuesday along with slight chances for showers north of Interstate 80 Tuesday through Thursday, according to the weather service.

Windy conditions Monday with warming trend through the week
Submitted by editor on Sun, 03/22/2015 - 5:09pmA spring storm will move into the Sierra and western Nevada tonight bringing gusty winds and chances for rain and Sierra snow through Monday morning, according to the National Weather Service in Reno.
Gusty winds will create rough boating conditions on area lakes this afternoon as well as turbulence for air travel. Strong southwest crosswinds with gusts to 35-45 mph on area roads, including Highways 50 and Highway 395 and and I-580 and I-80, may result in difficult driving for high profile vehicles.

As a die-hard winter addict, I personally love cold days, frosty nights, frigid temperatures, deep snow, thick ice, long hours of darkness and the starkness of our landscapes in the wintertime.
However, I must candidly admit that our winter this year has not had the deep snow and ice that I dearly love.

The details in the exact track are uncertain leading to medium forecaster confidence. The graphic above shows the chances for precipitation Christmas Eve night.
