Nevada Rural Counties RSVP Program, Inc., also known as RSVP, is preparing for their annual distribution of Farmers Market coupons for Carson City low-income seniors. Coupons will be available at no cost for those who qualify on June 9th from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Carson City Community Center, in the Front Lobby facing William St.

Tucked away in the valleys of Dayton, a multi-generational ranch and farm has been quietly producing organic and sustainable agriculture for decades to the local community.

Holley Family Farms has been owned and operated since 1970, and bases their practices on the 19th century farming traditions of Dayton Valley, “where Italian immigrants produced vegetables and meat for the thousands of residents of the Virginia City Comstock,” according to the Holly Family Farms blog.

Fall is in the air and that signifies the end of the Carson Farmers Market. It has been a busy year for us with new vendors and more customers. Although we are all sad to see another season come to an end, we are relieved to have another successful year behind us and a few months of rest.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days, including HopeFest9 on Friday, dirt bike races at Fuji Park, a job fair at Eagle Valley Children's Home, and the final weekend of the Jazz and Beyond festival and Levitt AMP outdoor concert series at the Brewery Arts Center.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days, including the Jazz and Beyond Carson City Music Festival, a bluegrass festival at Bowers Mansion, Celtic favorites at the BAC, tours at the Nevada State Museum, train rides, standup comedy at the Carson Nugget, a block party at Silver Oak Golf Course, a Boy Scouts car show at Fuji Park, "'Kutz for Kids' and more.

The Carson Farmers Market will be hosting a "Farm to Table" Art Contest for Kids throughout July.

With some help from the Ghost of Mark Twain, Carson City Chamber of Commerce celebrated its accomplishments for the year at their annual meeting Thursday evening at The Martin Hotel Restaurant.

Good morning Carson City, and happy June! We have a ton of events going on today in our beloved capital city, with the June wine walk, the first day of the farmer’s market, a brew fest at Fuji park, and more! With a high of 75, it’s shaping up to finally start to feel like summer (knock on wood).

Heading into a jam-packed weekend of events around the Carson City region, there's a bevy of activities Friday to get your started. Lace up your shoes for a morning walk at Riverview Park, and then head on over to the Nevada State Museum for a coin press demonstration, and tours that explore anthropology and Nevada history. Later there's a cruise night gathering at Carson Mall to benefit Safe Grad Night, an Italian dinner fundraiser at the Governor's Mansion to benefit Carson City's homeless, live music at Living the Good Life and A to Zen, laughs at the Carson Comedy Club, and much more. CARSON CITY — The Carson Farmers Market will kick off the 2019 season this Saturday, June 1 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the parking lot at 3rd and Curry streets. The Farmers Market will run until Saturday, Sept. 28.

Enjoy fresh-picked produce, local meats, fresh flowers, artisan baked goods, jams, honey, crafts, live music and Carson City’s smiling faces.

CARSON CITY — The 3rd & Curry Street Farmers Market is kicking off 2019 with some new and exciting changes. Breana Coons has stepped up as the new Market Manager. She has helped behind the scenes for the past 7 years. Coons encourages everyone to check out the Market’s new name, new look and new website.
