A 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested for a felony fugitive from justice warrant alleging lewdness with a child that was issued out of Napa, Calif., Superior Court, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

The Nevada Day Parade in Carson City begins with the Divisions 1-4 lineup at 8:30 a.m. and Divisions 5-10 lineup at 9 a.m. with a 10 a.m. start. The parade will end sometime around 2 p.m. The route will be closed from 5 a.m. until 3 p.m. Read on for safety information to make your parade day a most memorable one.

A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Sunday at a North Carson Street bar for misdemeanor suspicion of battery, obstructing and resisting arrest, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

It’s finally here, the last weekend of 2017. It’s fairly quiet around town, until Sunday night, that is. Today, Muscle Powered is leading a five-mile half-day hike along Prison Hill. Take advantage of the unseasonably warm weather, and join them. The Carson Nugget is hosting three nights of comedy this weekend: catch Myles Weber on the stage tonight. Head’s up. Galaxy Theater usually plays a movie from the past on Sundays and Wednesdays. This week, we get treated to the Christmas Classic, Die Hard. You won’t want to miss that.

We’ve made it, Carson City! Today is the last day of 2015, so get your resolutions handy. A 24-year-old Carson City jail inmate faces a felony battery charge after allegedly fighting Thursday with an inmate he said had “snitched” on him, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, officers assigned to the jail approached the main floor of the housing unit at around 1:20 p.m. and observed suspect, Joshua Neal Floyd, 24, standing in an aggressive fighting stance with another inmate.

It has finally arrived, the last day of 2014. It is also a Wednesday, so there are some typical Wednesday things going on about town, but New Year’s is the big deal today.
