The competitive process garners dozens of applications from district educators each semester. In addition to the mini-grants, the foundation has also awarded $2,000 to $3,000 grants for a Department, School or Grade-level projects.

Even more amazing than the dances are the students behind the scenes who, with the guidance of Leadership Adviser Ann Britt and FBLA Adviser Angila Golik, transformed the CHS Big Gym so that all visitors, young and old alike, would think they had walked into a beautiful dream.

Senator Square: Laptops for Everyone

Beginning Monday at 7:45 a.m. and going throughout the day, all students will go to the library to receive their laptop. This process will be repeated again Tuesday through Thursday.

The program is televised every Thursday at 7 pm on channel 3 (Reno, Sparks, Fernley, Fallon, Lake Tahoe) and 15 (in Carson City, Gardnerville, Dayton). The locally produced and privately owned program features Northern Nevada women who are making a difference in their communities and in the region.
Carson Now has become a 2013 partner in the program and will provide regular video of recent interviews, guest updates and biographies.
