St. Paul's Lutheran Family Rummage Sale this Saturday

Saliman, Carson City, is having their rummage sale on Saturday, April 21 from 8 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. This sale is a fundraiser by St. Paul's WELCA to support local charities. Highlights of the sale are a boutique jewelry room, a room of decorator items, furniture, housewares and much more.
Starting at 8 a.m. shoppers can fill a bag of select clothing for $3. At noon there will be a bag sale of anything that will fit in a bag for $3. Supporting funds are provided by Thrivent. Come early to check out the bargains!

This is the last weekend for summertime train rides through the cottonwoods. Join Muscle Powered at Silver Saddle Ranch by the Carson River for a bike or hike this morning. Bring water and a camera, you never know what wildlife will make an appearance.

Hundreds of shoppers arrive at Carson Mall for Bealls department store grand opening

Bealls store manager Kessn Flitton said customers filed into the 24,000-square-foot store for the grand opening ribbon cutting, taking advantage of bargains, sales, 25 percent off coupons, shopping sprees, gift card and merchandise giveaways.
At least 300 customers went through cashier lines within the first hour of opening, said Regional Manager Lewis Rael.
North Lake Tahoe SnowFest first 10 days in March

SnowFest is scheduled for March 1-10 and will be held at a variety of venues throughout North Lake Tahoe.
In its 32nd year, SnowFest, presented by the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/ Resort Association, is expected to draw thousands of attendees, with the majority of events free to spectators.

Winter Olympic heritage celebration at Lake Tahoe begins Saturday

The event, which is sponsored by the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association, kicks off Saturday, January 12 with the REI Winter Trails Day at Tahoe Donner Cross Country Resort in Truckee.
North Lake Tahoe launches free ski shuttle
Submitted by editor on Mon, 01/07/2013 - 4:31amGetting to North Lake Tahoe’s snowy ski slopes just got a whole lot easier with the launch of the region's first area-wide free ski shuttle serving North Lake Tahoe, Truckee and Donner Summit.
The service runs between area lodging properties to 9 different ski resorts on weekends and holiday weeks now through March 31. It was formed through a collaboration of the North Lake Tahoe Chamber/CVB/Resort Association in partnership with the Truckee/North Tahoe Transportation Management Association and Placer County, the town of Truckee and several ski resorts.
