Andersen Ranch Estates

The Andersen Ranch Estates project was discussed at length — almost four hours in fact — at Thursday’s Carson City Board of Supervisor’s meeting, before being approved by the board on a 4-1 vote.

The Andersen Ranch Estates Subdivision will be one topic of discussion at the upcoming Carson City Board of Supervisors meeting tomorrow, Thursday Jan. 16.

The proposed development plan for the new subdivision was approved at the December planning commission meeting, during which the commission recommended approval of the project map with a 4-2 vote, with one vote absent.

The Board of Supervisors will review the Andersen Ranch Estates Tentative Map this Thursday, January 16th.  The special session starts at 5:30pm at the Sierra Room of the Community Center at 851 Williams Street, Carson City.


If you were involved with the Vintage project, you will know that the same players under a different owner, Christy Corp., will be presenting their application at the Board of Supervisors’ meeting.

The days keep moving along, ever closer to the weekend and huge helpings of Christmas holiday activities. Thursday events around the capital city include a meeting of the Board of Supervisors, an afternoon hike hosted by Muscle Powered, a meeting with the developer of the proposed Andersen Ranch, a presentation: "Feathers and Furs of the Carson Valley" at the River Fork Ranch, an "End to Prohibition Party" at Gather restaurant, and more.

Christy Corporation, Ltd. will host an informal neighborhood meeting to present a proposed development plan for Andersen Ranch Estates, which includes the 48.2 acres located west of Mountain Street, east of Ormsby Boulevard in west Carson City.

Residents overflowed a small conference room of the Carson City Library Friday afternoon where a public meeting was held to discuss plans for the proposed Andersen Ranch Estate subdivision. The developer, Christy Corporation LTD., hosted the meeting to discuss their lot plans. They also opened the floor to current residents of the neighborhood to voice their questions and concerns.

Heading into the weekend before Thanksgiving, there’s a mountain of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. Events include the 25th annual Carson High School Holiday Craft Fair, a “War of the Worlds” play at the Brewery Arts Center, a Chili Bingo Night fundraiser to benefit the Carson Middle School Band, laughs at the Carson Nugget and much more.

Attention neighbors of the Andersen Family Trust property between Mountain and Ormsby, formerly the Andersen Ranch, a meeting with the new developer, Christy Corp, is being held this week on Friday afternoon, Nov. 22 at 2 p.m. on the 2nd floor of the Carson City Library. Everyone is invited.
