Carson City Health and Human Services has released its weekend COVID-19 health report, for three days, Jan. 23 to 25, 2021.

The Brewery Arts Center will deliver live music directly to the citizens of Carson City while practicing social distancing once again this week, this time in the Northgate neighborhood.

This Saturday, Sept. 12, the BAC is proud to present New Wave Crave. As if they were took a time machine from the 80’s, the party begins the moment these four talented musicians hit the flatbed.

Come on down and enjoy an evening back in time. It's time to party like it’s the 1980’s.
There will be hookah specials for anyone dressed in there best 80s attire and drink specials all night long.

Heading into the weekend, there’s a bevy of activities around the Carson City region over the next three days. The Union will host a dining fundraiser for the Greenhouse Project on Friday, and artist Jakota Wass performs at Bella Vita Bistro. The 43rd annual Wild Sheep Show will be held at the Reno-Sparks Convention. Comedian Marc Yaffee headlines the Carson Comedy Club on Saturday with much more in store for the weekend! The Carson Senators Ski Team opened the 2019-20 season at Alpine Meadows Ski Resort Tuesday. The Senators were missing quite a few skiers because of Final Exams, but still were able to make a respectable showing.

The Carson girls team was led by the Senators two returning state qualifiers from last year. Junior Brynn Prunty was 21st and Sophomore Sarah Wiggins was 24th. Junior Brooke Gudmundson was 48th.

John Nicholas Sulli was born Jan. 1, 1953, in San Jose, Calif., to Emil and Eleanor Sulli. Surrounded by the family and caregivers that loved and cared for him, on Nov. 8, 2019, he passed peacefully and sweetly from this life to reunite with his family who have pre-deceased him. Johnny was blessed with being born and living with Down's Syndrome for 66 years, 10 months in mortality.

It's been 30 years since the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 where the party went on for months and years after.

The Levitt AMP Carson City summer concert series concludes this Saturday, Aug. 24 with indie alt-rocker powerhouse The Brevet headlining and opening act New Wave Crave.

The movie “Turn it Up” will be celebrating a "homecoming, of sorts" as producer, director, writer and Nevada native Michael Charboneau brings his film to Carson City for the Jukebox International Film Festival on August 20.

"Turn it Up” is a coming of age comedy about six guys from small town anywhere chasing the dreams of rock stardom. Through sheer tenacity and blatant exaggeration, their band Attitude Problem is offered the headlining slot for a day long music festival called, "Can Jam."

UPDATE 730PM: The National Weather Service has issued a Flash Flood Warning for Douglas County in western Nevada and Alpine County in Calif. Thunderstorms producing heavy rain were reported across the Carson Range west of Foothill Road. Flash flooding is expected. Rock slides, debris flows are possible. The warning is until 8:30 p.m.

Mark your calendars to join Carson City Art Gallery on Friday November 2, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm as they celebrate the artwork of Erik Holland as Artist of the Month at his reception! Light refreshments will be served.

Erik Holland has worked as an artist his entire adult life. He started painting murals in Fairbanks, Alaska in the 1990's. He then moved to Reno, Nevada, achieving his dream of living in the high desert. He has had a one man show in Reno every year since 2001.

Good day Carson City, it is Friday, Oct. 5, 2018. Nothing like a cool down and fall color changes for a nice kick start to the weekend. Among today's featured events are a dodgeball tournament fundraiser for domestic violence awareness month, art showings and reception, live music, standup comedy and more.

Let the band play on. Friday night offers some great night-life options for all ages. Fridays at Third continues with an outdoor concert featuring Road Daddy in the McFadden Plaza. Carson Mall plays hosts to their monthly cruise night. come for the cool cars and poker walk but stick around for a performance by Mo’z Motley Blues Band on the patio by Bella Vita Bistro. It’s open mic night at A to Zen; all talents and all ages are invited to show their stuff on the Zen stage.

FRIDAY, June 29: Things to do in Carson City

It won’t be quite as hot today, but it’s definitely summertime. The Library is still a great bet for all ages. Family story time happens every Thursday morning, with Lego Club offered Thursday afternoons. Shine up the chrome and head to Buffalo Wild Wings for the weekly summer cruise night. Sassafras Eclectic Food Joint is a great place for music, food, and friends: they’ll be featuring Little Mazarn on the stage tonight as the Texas group swings through the area on their cross-country tour.

THURSDAY, June 28: Things to do in Carson City

Welcome to Wednesday, Carson City. Break up the work week with some time out with friends. Try DJ Trivia at Bella Fiore; even though it’s a wine shop, the game is open to all-ages. Wine, Beer and Bowl at Carson Lanes is a fun way to break routine. Kids will love the Wildlife Show at the CVIC Hall in Minden; just get there early for a good seat. Take a trip back in time at the Dangberg Home Ranch Historic Park. The Young Chautauquans will bring notable Nevadans like Charley Parkhurst and Abe Curry to life.

WEDNESDAY, June 27: Things to do in Carson City

It’s been toasty outside, which is one of the reasons Muscle Powered moves the start time for their morning walk during the summer months. A stroll along the Carson River at Riverview Park is a perfect way to start the day. If your little one is still a little uneasy on a bicycle, the Bike Safety Rodeo in Silver City will help get them on the right path. Tuesdays belong to Canyon White at Living the Good Life. The singer/songwriter takes to the stage for a jam session and open mic night.

TUESDAY, June 26: Things to do in Carson City

Some days were just made for the beach. But if you can’t make the trip up to Tahoe, you can always beat the heat at Carson Lanes. With one dollar games all day, it’s an inexpensive way to stay cool. Every afternoon this week teens can head down to the Carson City Library for a healthy dose of cinema classics: it’s 80s movie marathon week. Learn what's popping up in your garden at the Shoe Tree Brewery. Experts will be around to help you discern what could cause you trouble during tonight's 'Bring Your Own Noxious Weed' event. All ages karaoke at the Fox Brewpub is a fun way to finish a Monday night.
