Carson City area casinos see November gaming profits spike
Carson City area casinos saw a nice pre-holidays bump in gaming profits, posting a 7.45 percent increase in November, the Nevada Gaming Control Board reports Monday.
Statewide, Nevada's casinos reported a nearly 12 percent increase in November when compared to gaming figures during the same period a year ago.
Carson City casinos, which includes those in Minden and Gardnerville, took in $8,021,546 in gaming profits for the month. Elsewhere, casinos at south shore Lake Tahoe saw a drop of 1.99 percent, while casinos at Tahoe's north shore saw a 13.2 percent decrease.
For the fiscal year, July 1, 2013 through November 30, 2013, gaming win has increased 3.32 percent statewide.
