Washoe Valley man found dead inside home; case being investigated as suspicious
Authorities are investigating the death of a Washoe Valley man after being dispatched early Saturday morning to a home where there had been a report of some kind of unknown trouble.
The Washoe County Sheriff's Office Special Operations and Investigations Division reports the deceased man was found inside a home in the 3900 block of Pershing Lane in Washoe Valley, said Deputy Armando Avina in a news release. The death has been called "suspicious" by Washoe County authorities. No other details have been made available.
At approximately 12:35 a.m., Washoe County sheriff's deputies were dispatched to a report of trouble unknown at the residence. During the initial investigation, deputies located a deceased man inside the home. Because of circumstances surrounding this case, detectives were called to continue the investigation, Avina said.
No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing. The cause of death is pending a medical examination which will be completed by the Washoe County Medical Examiner's Office. The man's name is being withheld pending notification of family members, Avina said.
