Carson City arrests: Man booked for alleged third DUI
A 49-year-old man was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of a felony third DUI and other alleged offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Jacob Bud Schroeder was taken into custody at 10:15 p.m. following a traffic stop in the area of South Curry Street.
According to the booking report, a deputy observed a vehicle that failed to maintain lanes and was swerving all over the road. The deputy conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle, where it slowed down and continued driving before coming to a complete stop.
When the deputy made contact with the driver, they could immediately smell an odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The deputy observed the man had red, watery eyes and slurred speech. He was asked how much he had to drink, where he stated he had been drinking but could not state what type of alcoholic beverages he had, the report states.
He submitted to field sobriety tests and showed signs of impairment. He consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .180. Inside the vehicle the officer observed three open alcoholic beverages within reach of the driver. He voluntarily agreed to submit to an evidentiary blood draw.
He was booked for suspicion of third DUI, failure to maintain a lane, driving with a revoked license for DUI and open container. Bail: $20,000.

— A 28-year-old woman was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and four alleged misdemeanor offenses.
Kassandra Mays was taken into custody at 9:36 a.m. after an investigation following a traffic stop. During the investigation, deputies located 4.6 grams of psychedelic mushrooms. She was also booked for misdemeanor violation of a suspended sentence, driving on a revoked license for DUI, suspended registration and no insurance. Bail: $2,500.
— A 43-year-old woman was arrested Wednesday, 1:51 a.m. in the area of East William and North Roop for suspicion of DUI, violation of bail conditions, driving with a revoked license and suspended registration. She provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .145, and evidentiary breath tests of .108 and .112. Bail: $3,000.
