Carson City deputies make drug and probation violation arrests
A 28-year-old Mound House man was arrested Wednesday for felony suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Douglas Richard Williams was taken into custody at 10:40 a.m. in the 1800 block of North Edmonds Drive. He admitted to an officer that he had methamphetamine on him and removed a testable amount from his left front pants pocket and handed it to the deputy. Bail: $3,632.
In other bookings:
— A 24-year-old Reno man, Julio Valdivia, was arrested early Thursday morning on a felony parole and probation. He was drinking beer and playing slot machines inside a casino in the 500 block of North Carson Street.
A records check advised the man is currently on probation under the supervision of Nevada Parole and Probation with conditions to not drink alcohol, take drugs, enter a bar or a casino and to abide by a curfew. He was arrested at 2:27 a.m. for violation of Parole and Probation conditions. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 7:53 p.m. at Mills Park for a misdemeanor warrant for his arrested issued out of Sparks Municipal Court and misdemeanor suspicion of possession of drug paraphernalia, a meth pipe. Bail: $1,962.
— A 29-year-old transient was booked Wednesday into Carson City Jail for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant. Bail: $1,000.
— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 12:17 p.m. in the 900 block of East Fifth Street for misdemeanor violation of probation. According to the arrest report, a deputy conducted a traffic stop and spoke with the driver and passenger.
The driver stated there was marijuana in the car. Dispatch advised the passenger was on Alternative Sentencing with a clause not to possess drugs and paraphernalia. The driver agreed to a standardized field sobriety tests and did not show any signs of impairment. The passenger was arrested for misdemeanor violation of conditions. Bail: $3,000.
