Carson City sheriff's deputies make drug, trespassing and warrant arrests
A 45-year-old Fallon man was arrested early Thursday for suspicion of felony possession of a controlled substance and two misdemeanor offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff's Office booking report.
Edward Stahi was taken into custody after a traffic stop in the area of Highway 50 and Airport Road. He also faces charges of misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and a possession of a hypodermic device.
During the investigation, a K-9 did an exterior sniff of the vehicle, occupied by two people and alerted positive, according to the arrest report. During a search of the vehicle, officers located a small bag of suspected methamphetamine on the back floorboard.
The man was placed into handcuffs and read his Miranda rights. He was asked whose drugs were in the vehicle and he admitted they were his. He was arrested. During a search incident to arrest, deputies located two hypodermic devices. One was partially loaded while the other was empty. Total bail amount listed: $4,774.
In other bookings:
— A 22-year-old Carson City man, Noah Ryan Poole, was arrested Thursday, 2:52 a.m. for parole and probation violation, a felony. During a traffic stop, officers were advised he was on parole with conditions of not having alcohol, drugs including marijuana, and not to possess weapons. The man advised that he had a small bag of marijuana, which was found in his pocket. He was held without bail in lieu of a hearing.
— A 47-year-old man was arrested Wednesday for misdemeanor suspicion of trespassing, criminal contempt and a failure to appear warrant issued Dec. 8. out of Carson City Justice Court.
According to the arrest report, deputies were dispatched to a gas station in the 4600 block of South Carson Street regarding a subject who wouldn't leave. Officers met with the reporting party who advised she wanted the subject trespassed. The suspect told the officer he would not leave and stated he wanted to go to jail instead. The reporting party wished to press charges for trespassing and filled out a citizen's arrest form.
Dispatch also advised the man had a confirmed warrant out of Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear. Dispatch was advised the man was on alternative sentencing with an "obey all laws" clause. Alternative sentencing advised they wanted the man placed on a hold for criminal contempt. He was arrested and provided a preliminary breath test of .033. Bail: $1,242.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday for a misdemeanor petit larceny warrant issued Dec. 7 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.
