Woman identified in Sunday shooting in Dayton, faces second degree murder charge
A woman faces a second-degree murder charge in the late Sunday night shooting death of her husband at their Dayton home.
Kristyn Verdun has been booked into Lyon County Jail awaiting a hearing on charges. Details as to the possible motive haven't been released.
The Lyon County Sheriff's Office was called to a home in the 200 block of Gordon Lane at 10:56 p.m. Sunday where they found the victim, Robert Verdun, in a bathroom with a gunshot wound to his right torso area, said Sgt. Jeremy Grundy.
Verdun was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center where he died. A photo has been provided by Lyon County Sheriff's Office.
