Final reminder of Ormsby Sportsmen’s Association banquet on Dec. 3
This is a final reminder to set aside the evening of this Saturday, Dec. 3 for the Ormsby Sportsmen’s Association (OSA) big, annual banquet at the Carson Nugget Convention Center.
OSA membership:
You do not have to be a member of OSA to attend the banquet. However, if you would like to join the club, it will cost $5 for an adult’s annual dues for 2010 or $2.50 for anyone under the age of 16.
Annual Banquet:
The banquet will begin with no-host cocktails at 5:30 p.m., followed by an all-you-can-eat buffet dinner at 6:30 p.m. The dinner is then followed by door prizes, raffle prizes, live auction items and special awards to members (both serious and funny). All of that for only $25 per person for anyone age 16 and over, or $12.50 for any youth age 10-16, or free for youngsters under the age of 10. Plus there will be a door prize of $100 cash for some lucky guy and another door prize of $100 for some lucky gal for just being present at the banquet.
The Evening’s Events:
After dinner, there will be a whole bunch of interesting things happening: The OSA “Skins” drawing in the amount of $140 for being a paid-up member of OSA and for being present at the banquet.
The presentation of the infamous “You Screwed Up” award to the member who messed up the absolute worse during 2011. The presentation of the equally infamous “Sure Shot” award to the OSA member who fired the most shots while hunting in 2011.
The presentation of the winners and the awarding of cash prizes for the various categories in the annual OSA fishing contest for 2011.
Finally:
The dress code for that annual OSA banquet is “Casual, very casual.” Wear your jeans!
