Carson City arrests: Two jailed for burglary, drug offenses after alleged RV park break-in

CARSON CITY — The Humboldt-Toiyabe National Forest’s Carson Ranger District is working with Mooretown Rancheria to remove dead and dying trees killed by bark beetles in the Galena Creek area in southern Reno, Nevada, starting on Tuesday, Dec. 21, if weather allows.

The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency Governing Board on Wednesday, Dec. 15 approved an update to a regional mitigation fee for new projects. On December 17, 2021 at approximately 2:23 p.m., Douglas County Sheriff’s Office deputies conducted a traffic enforcement stop on a wanted subject in the area of Ironwood Dr and Pinewood Dr located in Minden, NV.

The suspect, Thomas James Meagher, a 24-year-old Gardnerville resident, was wanted by the Nevada Department of Parolee and Probation and considered “armed and dangerous.”
