Two jailed in Douglas County on meth, cocaine trafficking charges
A traffic stop Sunday in Gardnerville led to the arrest of two men who face drug trafficking charges after methamphetamine and cocaine were recovered, according to the Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
Patrick MacRoberts, 45, of South Lake Tahoe and Clinton Neely, 34, of Gardnerville each face multiple felony drug charges.
Douglas County Sheriff’s Office responded to the area of Raab Court just after 7:30 p.m. for a report of a suspicious occupied vehicle. A deputy observed a vehicle matching the description leaving the area and made a traffic stop due to observed traffic violations. MacRoberts was arrested for two warrants.
After a search of the vehicle, the driver, Neely, was booked for suspicion of trafficking in methamphetamine (more than 28 grams), possession of a hypodermic needle, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving without tail lights and no driver’s license in possession, according to DCSO.
MacRoberts also was charged with trafficking in cocaine (more than 4 grams), trafficking in methamphetamine (more than 4 grams), possession of heroin, and possession of drug paraphernalia. MacRoberts was on probation in El Dorado County and El Dorado County placed a probation violation hold on him, according to DCSO.
