Carson City sheriff’s crime log: Two booked in separate felony fraud cases
A 30-year-old Carson City woman and an inmate at Carson City jail was booked on a warrant that amounted to 12 felony charges that alleged burglary, forgery and use of a credit card without consent, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Bailey Michelle Wilson was served the warrant carrying the charges Tuesday at noon. Charges listed on the warrant are as follows:
— Three counts of using the identity of another
— One count of burglary
— One count uttering a forged instrument
— Seven counts of use of a credit or debit card of another without consent.
Bail: $20,000 bondable.
In other arrests:
— A 44-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Tuesday for a felony warrant alleging that she obtained money under false pretenses and uttered a forged instrument, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
Stacy Coker was arrested at 7:33 a.m. in the 1900 block of North Carson Street. The warrant was issued Oct. 24, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $20,000.
— A 40-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 10:39 p.m. in the 35000 block of North Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of DUI. According to the arrest report, the man had been at the hospital and was uncooperative. He had an odor of alcohol on his breath and was suspected of driving while under the influence.
A deputy located the white van the man was driving, as it swerved from lane line to lane line seven times, nearly hitting a landscape barrier. The deputy turned on his light and siren, and the vehicle continued, making a left turn on College Parkway coming to a stop at a fast food restaurant parking lot.
The man smelled of alcohol and showed signs of intoxication. He declined to take field sobriety tests but agreed to a preliminary breath test with a result of .247, the report states. He was arrested. The man advised he did not have a valid license. He agreed to an evidentiary blood test. Bail: $1,137.
— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday 7:31 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Carson Street for a misdemeanor failure to appear in traffic court warrant. Bail: $295.
— A 21-year-old Carson City man turned himself into Carson City jail deputies on a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Oct. 16, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 11:29 p.m. in the area of Highway 50 East and Airport Road for a misdemeanor warrant alleging reckless driving, driving on a suspended license and failure to use a turn signal. Bail: $1,709.
