Second Dutch Brothers coming to Carson City
Ground has been broken for the construction of a new Dutch Brothers Coffee franchise on Highway 50 East in Carson City.
Officials with the Carson City Community Development Department reported that the local franchise owners of the Grants Pass, Oregon-based coffee roaster and retailer obtained their building permit from the city on Oct. 20 and began construction shortly afterward.
The Highway 50 location, situated next door to Auto Zone on the south side of the highway, will be Carson City’s second Dutch Brothers franchise.
The first one, located on the Carson Mall property along South Carson Street, had been moved a few hundred feet from its original location to the north side of the parking lot, making room for Sportsman’s Warehouse.
Messages have been left with the Dutch Brothers corporate headquarters in Oregon and with the local franchise owners for comment on an opening date for the new coffee house.
The Dutch Brothers Carson City Facebook page did state that the second location is slated to be open for business in early 2017.
