Carson City arrests: Woman arrested for third domestic battery offense

A 21-year-old Mound House woman was arrested Friday, 1:15 p.m. in the area of Siskiyou Drive for felony suspicion of third offense domestic battery, gross misdemeanor destruction of property and misdemeanor battery, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Arrested was Nathally Resendiz. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched to a residence at Hot Springs Road on a domestic battery report. The victim said she was at her boyfriend’s home when the suspect came over to the home. The woman was told to leave the residence.

She went outside and threw a brick at the victim’s car windshield. The suspect also hit another person who asked her to leave. She then punched the victim in the left side of the face above her eye. The victim, who said she is 12 weeks pregnant, said she threw punches back and then got kicked multiple times in the stomach. The suspect left and the victim said she was going to the hospital to make sure her unborn child was not harmed, the arrest report states.

Officers went to a location where they learned the suspect was at. The suspect said she hit the two people in self-defense. The suspect she said she was also hit, but officers did not observe visible marks or injuries. She was arrested and taken to jail where she was booked for domestic battery third offense, destruction of property and battery. She had pled guilty to domestic battery first and second in 2014 and 2015. Bail: $18,637.

In other arrests:

A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 1:03 a.m. in the 3300 block of Highway 50 East for suspicion of DUI, driving on marked lanes, no insurance and resisting an officer, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

According to the arrest report, the driver was stopped after traveling down a middle travel lane and then driving through a drainage ditch. The officer observed the man showed signs of intoxication, speaking with a strong odor of alcohol and thick, slurred speech. The officer explained why he stopped the man.

The man said he did not drive through the median and began addressing the officer with profanity. The man refused to participate in field sobriety tests and refused orders when he was told he was under arrest. He was transported to jail, yelling and addressing the officer with profanity during the drive to detention. He was placed in a holding cell. The man advised he was refusing all tests. A telephonic search warrant was granted to collect a blood sample. Bail: $2,625.

— A 38-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday, 1:35 a.m. in the 600 block of Hot Springs Road on misdemeanor suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. According to the arrest report, an officer was dispatched to the area in reference to a hit-and-run. The officer met with the reporting party who said her vehicle was hit when a neighbor backed out of the parking space. The neighbor left and did not inform them the vehicle was damaged.

The officer went to an apartment and spoke with a person inside and then saw the suspect vehicle drive into the parking lot. The officer spoke with the woman who said she did not hit the vehicle. There was a gray paint transfer on the front of the passenger side of the vehicle, matching the vehicle hit. As the suspect was speaking, the officer observed signs of intoxication. She declined field sobriety tests and provided a preliminary breath test with a result of .290, the arrest report states. She was then taken into custody for suspicion of DUI and hit-and-run. Bail: $1,774.

— A 50-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday, 4:43 a.m. in the area of Airport Road and Green Drive for two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants issued out of Reno Municipal Court. Bail: $1,560.

— A 38-year-old Madera, Calif., man was booked into jail Friday, 9:28 a.m. on a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $500.

— A 49-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 12:17 a.m. in the area of College Parkway and Airport Road on two misdemeanor warrants for contempt of court, fictitious registration, and expired registration. The man was stopped for expired registration where officers learned of the warrants. Upon further inspection, the license plates displayed on the vehicle were different from the original sticker, which belonged on a trailer. Bail: $1,114.
