New art classes offered for adults, children at Carson City's Brewery Arts Center
The Brewery Arts Center in Carson City is adding more new classes to its growing catalog of opportunities. This Friday, November 5 the BAC will offer a new Creative Kids class from 3:30 to 5:30 to create a Four Seasons Painting with instructor Debbie Corona. Using acrylics students will be painting all 4 seasons on one painting, using colors that correspond to the seasons.
The cost is $40 and includes all materials. An apron or clothing you don't mind getting stained would be a good idea for your child. Then from 7-9:30pm, Debbie will offer her adult “Paint and Sip” class where students will learn techniques and paint along while enjoying complimentary beer and wine during the class. On November 5, the painting will be “Balloons” and this class is also $40 per person.
Also on Nov. 5 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. right next door in the Pottery Studio, instructor Kym Meahl will lead you through creating your own clay “Yule Mug” in our new Wine and Clay series. In this super fun class you'll be using your creative energy to make an awesome & hearty mug with clay, wonderful clay!
As you sip wine, you will be hand building your mugs on night No. 1 and as you continue to sip wine, you'll be glazing your mugs on night #2, which will be Nov. 19 also from 6:30 to 8:30. Once fired, these magnificent works of art will be both beautiful, functional and feel so good on chilly hands! Best of all, there is no pottery experience required. The cost for this class is $50 all inclusive.
You can register for all of these classes on the BAC website, breweryarts.org under the “Classes, Concerts and Events” link.
