Carson City Public Works extends leaf and limb pick up for those who signed up, no new requests being taken

Carson City Public Works will do its annual limb and leaf cleanup, pick up, with signups through Thursday, Nov. 8. The department advises residents to take pride in Carson City by pruning trees, shrubs and raking up leaves. Carson City Public Works will pick up garden and yard debris at no cost.
Carson City Public Works advises residents to place bagged leaves and limb bundles near the curb in plain view by Monday, Nov. 11, 7:15 a.m. Limbs must be less than 6 feet long and no wider than 4 inches in diameter and tied in bundles.
Bags and bundles cannot exceed 60 pounds each or they will not be picked up, Carson City Public Works advises.
The agency advises Carson City customers to wait for pickup, which begins Monday, Nov. 11, 7:30 a.m. and goes through Thursday, Nov. 14, 5:30 p.m.
Carson City Public Works advises the following material will not be available for pick up: Household garbage, old appliances, furniture, lumber and fireplace ashes.
