Fire burning in Washoe Valley, Carson City fire crews respond
UPDATE 2:23PM: Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center reports the fire burning in Washoe Valley near Eastlake Boulevard is under control and crews are in the mop-up phase.

Carson City fire crews were called this afternoon as mutual aid backup to a brush fire burning near Washoe Lake State Park in Washoe Valley. The fire is burning in sage and grass near Eastlake Boulevard and is about four acres, said Charles Meeks of Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center. One engine from Carson City was called for mutual aid to the fire, reported at 12:24 p.m. Other fire agencies responding are Washoe County, Truckee Meadows and the Nevada Division of Forestry.
Meanwhile a illegal burn was reported across from Smith's in Dayton. Lyon County fire crews are responding, said Meeks. The fire was reported at 12:49 p.m.
