Eyes on Carson City: Passport to Downtown
Historic downtown Carson City bustled with crowds and activities Friday afternoon in celebration of "Passport To Downtown" on the eve of the Nevada Day Parade.
Carson City's Downtown Business Association (DBA) hosted the event to showcase businesses along the downtown Carson Street corridor — from William Street to Fifth Street — and celebrate a successful summer season in the heart of the Nevada state capital.
Children and families enjoyed live music, food, refreshments, art, street performers as well as a family fun center located on Proctor Street — between Carson and Curry streets — featuring bounce equipment, a balloon artist, and The Littlest Things petting zoo.
Passport festivities wrap up with a raffle for more than $5,000 in prizes and Blinky Man night-time bicycle ride that starts in front of Jimmy G's Cigar Bar, corner of Proctor and Carson streets.
