Early voting underway in Carson City
Early voting has begun in Carson City and residents are turning out in numbers to do their civic duty.
Though the lines were fairly long Tuesday morning at around 10 a.m., giving a good sense of our community pride, it moved quickly as the election staff was efficient in orchestrating the polls.
The line snaked back to the entry way, but from the end of the line to getting to the designated poll box took no more than 15-20 minutes.
Sample ballots can also be picked up as you enter the polling area in case yours was left behind.
Early voting is being held at the Carson City Courthouse, and polls open at 8 a.m. and close at 6 p.m., except for Nevada Day, Oct. 27, in which they are open from 10-2 p.m.
On Election Day, Nov. 2, polls are open from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and there are two polling locations for Carson City: the Carson City Courthouse and the Carson City Community Center.
