Carson City’s Rocky Horror Picture Show is back Friday at the Brewery Arts Center
The 4th annual Rocky Horror Picture Show event is coming back to Carson City with a bang at the Brewery Arts Center on Friday, Oct. 26, beginning at 6 p.m.
Hosted by the Proscenium Players, Inc and the Brewery Arts Center, the show is all ages, free and highly entertaining.
Admission is free, and alcohol will be available for purchase for those over 21. The Brewery Arts Center is located at 449 W. King Street.
“There will be goodie bags available for purchase, at $5 per bag, to participate as we follow along with the movie,” said the coordinators. “Please do not bring rice, or water guns, or anything along those lines. Our goodies bags have everything included for the show.”
Doors open at 6, the timewarp will be taught at 6:30, and the virgin ceremony will be held at 7. Afterwards, there is the costume contest at 7:30, and the movie itself will begin at 8.
The Rocky Horror Picture Show has long been a cult classic as well as an interactive event for audiences, in which theater troops act out scenes along with the movie, involve props, and shout one liners back to the movie. Audiences participation is a huge part of the production, traditionally including dancing the Time Warp along with the film, and throwing various items at the screen at appropriate times.
