Nevada Day Parade gets its own feature song and video
One of the great things to come out of this year's Nevada Day pre-festivities is this song and video. Written, performed and produced by Daylan Rhea with the video by Jim Gustafson of Nevada Multimedia Productions in Carson City, this 2 minute, 13 second ditty is the ultimate Nevada Day Parade song.
You can also check out the song on Soundcloud here.
This year's 75th Nevada Day Parade is Saturday beginning at 10 a.m. The Grand Marshal is Mike Shaughnessy. The parade starts a 10:00 am and meanders its way down Carson Street, concluding (most years) at approximately 1 p.m. p.m. The parade kicks off with an 8:00am hot air balloon launch on Carson Street (weather permitting), followed closely with a 10 a.m. a.m. flyover of military craft from the Fallon Naval Air Station and the Nevada Air Guard.
The parade features floats, marching bands, and a variety of entertainment. The route begins at the intersection of William and Carson streets and ends at the intersection of Stewart and Carson streets.
You can watch the Nevada Day Parade live Saturday via Carson City's own We Shoot Video.
