Carson City sheriff’s crime log: Arrests made for battery, destruction of property
A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday in the 4300 block of South Carson Street for misdemeanor suspicion of battery, a sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, the man entered a grocery store and was asked to leave by an employee due to him being under the influence of alcohol. The employee told a Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy the man frequently comes into the store intoxicated.
The man allegedly grabbed the employee’s eyeglasses from their face, dropped them on the ground and then ran out of the store, according to the arrest report. The suspect was located behind a convenience store and taken into custody at 4:33 p.m. for suspicion of battery. Bail: $1,137.
In other arrests:
— A 48-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday, 8:06 p.m. in the area of Bel Air Circle for misdemeanor obstructing an officer and destruction of property.
According to the arrest report, Carson City sheriff’s deputies were called to the location for a report of an intoxicated man walking up and down the street attempting to fight with neighbors.
A deputy arrived, spoke with a witness who said the man had tried to break the window of his truck and pointed the suspect out to the officer.
The deputy located the suspect walking. The deputy told the man to stop twice before the man turned around and took off running. He finally stopped, was ordered to the ground and handcuffed.
Deputies spoke with a witness who said the suspect had been walking around trying to get people to fight him and that he had broke the gate of a residence by kicking it, the arrest report states. The suspect submitted to a preliminary breath test with a result of .194. He was arrested for obstructing an officer and destruction of property. Bail: $1,034.
— A 19-year-old transient was booked into jail Tuesday, 12:15 p.m. for a misdemeanor warrant, violation of pre-trial supervision, issued Oct. 16, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 37-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Tuesday, 12:15 pm. for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Oct 4, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
— A 22-year-old Minden woman was booked into jail Tuesday, 1:55 p.m. for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Sept. 8, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.
