Celebrate Nevada Day Parade with care: 'Battle Born' is our motto, not our action
Nevada Day is just around the corner and soon we will be celebrating not only our admission into the union but, 75 years of Nevada Day parades. For those of you who have lived in this area for some time, there are many fond memories of parades past.
Those who are new to Carson City should take the time to come out and see the floats, marching bands, service organizations, and local characters that participate in this event.
As with most celebrations of this size, alcohol will be served at various venues and bars. If you are planning on drinking alcoholic beverages on Nevada Day, do so responsibly. No one likes to deal with a highly intoxicated person at a parade. “Battle Born” is our motto, not our action.
As always, don’t drink and drive, make arrangements to get home safely. Do your part to ensure that “Home means Nevada” means more to you than just our State song.
Happy Birthday Nevada!
