Nevada Day 2024: Souvenir cups promote sustainable celebrations, available in Carson City

GreenUP!, is excited to introduce the new 2024 commemorative stainless-steel cups for Nevada Day. These reusable cups manufactured by Klean Kanteen, are now available for purchase as part of this year’s efforts to reduce waste and promote sustainability during the celebration.
The 2024 collector’s cups feature exclusive designs that include the Nevada Day and greenUP! logos and are available for $15 each. Participants can enjoy $1 off select beverages at various bars and restaurants during the Nevada Day festivities by presenting their cups. A list of participating vendors are provided below and in the Nevada Day parade program.
This initiative reflects Nevada Day Inc.’s and greenUP!’s commitment to reducing single-use plastic waste and promoting environmental responsibility. According to Upstream, a nonprofit focused on sustainable solutions, using a stainless-steel cup generates significantly less carbon pollution and waste compared to single-use plastic alternatives.
GreenUP! is providing water refill stations during Nevada Day to help reduce waste, and we encourage attendees to bring their own reusable water bottles and cups. Refill stations will be located at McFadden Plaza and at the intersection of Curry and Proctor Street.
The cups are available now for purchase at select local Carson City businesses, including Arby’s, Great Basin Brewing Company, Cucina Lupo, The Shoe Tree Brewing Co and So Juicy. A limited number of cups will also be available for sale during the parade in front of the Adams Hub on the corner of Proctor and Carson Streets. Previous years' cups are also eligible for discounts during the Nevada Day events.
Nevada Day vendors offering $1 off select beverages: Arby’s, Bella Vita Bistro, Carson City Cigar Co, Cucina Lupo, Feisty Goat, Great Basin Brewing Co, Juan’s Mexican Grill, Red’s Old 395, Scoups Ice Cream and Soup Bar, So Juicy, Squeeze In, Westside Pourhouse, The Shoe Tree Brewing Co., and Daddy’s Tacos Food Truck. In addition to the $1 discount, present your cup at The Basil Creative Thai Cuisine for a free Thai Iced Tea.
Nevada Day Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is dedicated to celebrating the statehood of Nevada each year with a grand parade in Carson City.
