Reward offered in Gardnerville 7-Eleven armed robbery
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a man who robbed the 7-Eleven store on Tillman Lane in the Gardnerville Ranchos area early Tuesday morning.
The robbery happened at 1:20 a.m. when a man, described as Caucasian or light-skinned Hispanic, mid 30s to 40s in age, approximately five feet five inches tall with a stocky build entered the store, said Douglas County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Pat Brooks. He had a Hispanic accent, was wearing dark pants, a long-sleeve black sweatshirt and a baby blue beanie.
He selected a product, approached the front counter, removed a firearm from his clothing and ordered the clerk to open the register. The suspect took an unknown disclosed amount of money and two packs of cigarettes and fled the store on foot. A vehicle doesn't appear to be associated with this incident, said Brooks.
A reward is being offered to anyone with information leading to the arrest and/or conviction of the suspect. Your identity is not needed and you will remain anonymous.
