Carson City sheriff's overnight arrest log
A 35-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 10:25 p.m. in the 1400 block of Spooner Drive on felony suspicion of domestic battery with strangulation.
According to the arrest report, officers were called to a home regarding a dispute that escalated. The victim stated her boyfriend, Miguel Galindo, arrived at the residence intoxicated and got into a verbal dispute with her. The man became upset, knocking over a living room table, and punching a large hole in a hallway wall and then went outside and knocked over a barbecue, the arrest report states.
The victim told officers she took her two sons into the master bedroom and locked the door. She told officers the man pounded on the door and demanded she open it, the arrest report states. When she did she said he lunged and tackled her on a bed in front of her two boys.
She told officers he used his right hand to grab and squeeze her throat to the point where she had a hard time breathing, while using his left hand to hit her on the side of the face. She told officers she got up and was again grabbed by the man and taken into a spare bedroom and thrown on the bed where he again allegedly grabbed her by the throat. She told officers she scratched him in the face and back of his neck trying to defend herself. The woman had light redness on her neck, the arrest report states. One of the boys confirmed the man tackled his mother, the arrest report states. Bail: $15,000.
— A 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 11:37 p.m. in the 2700 block of Snowflake Drive on a gross misdemeanor warrant for open or gross lewdness: Bail: $2,500.
— Carson City sheriff’s deputies arrested two people, a 36-year-old man and a 34-year-old woman early Friday morning at a Timberline Drive home after a domestic dispute. Bail for the woman, $3,132 and for the man, $2,500.
Those arrested and facing criminal charges are innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
