Carson City's Advocates to End Domestic Violence opens Intervention and Resource Center
Carson City’s Advocates to End Domestic Violence hosted a ribbon cutting in celebration of its new Intervention and Resource Center, located on the same property as their Classy Seconds Thrift Store on Highway 50 E.
The Center is phase two of three planned phases to bring all of Advocate’s operations to one accessible location.
Since Advocates began providing shelter and resources to survivors of domestic violence in 1983, they have provided more than 180,000 nights of shelter to more than 5,500 survivors and their children, and have provided more than 540,000 meals to those in their care.
The Resource Center, located at 3640 Gordon Street, features numerous office spaces, a toy-filled children’s area, an outdoor, enclosed playground, a full kitchen, conference rooms, and more.
