Carson City weather: Week ahead brings gusty winds, sunny skies and cooler temperatures
A dry cold front moving into the region will bring a cool down and gusty winds to the Carson City region, according to the National Weather Service.
The main concerns with this frontal passage Sunday and Monday will be gusty winds northwest shifting to north winds of 25-35 mph along with high temperatures only reaching into low the 60s, drastically different from Saturday's 80 degree weather.
At this time, wind advisories and Red Flag Warnings are posted for the Sacramento Valley region in California. There is a Lake Wind Advisory for Pyramid Lake.
As for precipitation, not much is expected since the front will be mostly dry with a few spotty showers east of Highway 95.
The breezy and cool conditions will persist through Monday with overnight low temperatures dropping to near freezing. The next significant system is forecasted to be for the end of this upcoming week. Details on that are forthcoming.
