Carson City Chamber, Better Business Bureau host free seminar today on how to avoid scams
The Carson City Chamber of Commerce and the Better Business Bureau will host a free Zoom seminar today, Tuesday, that focuses on business scams and how to avoid being scammed. The seminar features experts with the Federal Trade Commission, Office of the Nevada Attorney General, and the Nevada Department of Business & Industry Office of Consumer Affairs
Scams have become an almost every day occurrence and since March, business scams have popped up everywhere. Most recently, scammers have applied for for unemployment insurance using information that might have come from a business owner's currently employed staff.
Scams can reach and impact every business, regardless of location, size, industry, or length of time in business. Learn to strengthen your business against the latest scams.
