Pooch Plunge to benefit CASI runs today at Carson City Aquatic Center
Join the Carson Animal Services Initiative, also known as CASI, at the Carson City Aquatic Center today, Saturday, Sept. 27, now through 4 p.m. for the Pooch Plunge. Bring your pooch to the outdoor pool for a fun time while helping CASI raise money for a new animal shelter. The Plunge is $10 for first dog, $5 for each additional dog. The event runs from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.
To assure everyone has a great time, some rules apply:
One Dog per human handler, each dog must have a registration form filled out (available at event).
Dogs must have current vaccinations (proof required) or a signed waiver form.
Dogs must be at least 6 months of age.
Your dog may be released from their leash upon entering pool deck area.
Dogs must remain under your control at all times. If he/she is acting aggressively you and your dog will be escorted from the event.
Female dogs in season are not allowed.
Humans are not allowed in the pool.
No food or drinks allowed in pool area.
Other things to keep in mind:
Please do not bring dogs that have health conditions that may endanger them.
Please be sure your dog has been exposed to swimming. Some dogs swim well, others don't.
Please do NOT trim your dog’s nails prior to the event.
