Douglas teen arrested for making school shooting threats, only a few days after the last arrest in Carson City
In what is becoming a repeated occurrence, a teenager has been arrested for making threats relating to a school shooting, one of several in the past few weeks since this school year began.
This time, the arrest was in Douglas County. This arrest comes only a few days after the last arrest in which a Carson City student was arrested on similar charges.
The arrest came about after the Douglas County Sheriff's Office received an anonymous report earlier this morning relating to a 14-year-old Douglas High School (DHS) student who made verbal threats during class about coming to school to carry out a school shooting, according to DCSO.
DCSO Deputies assigned to Douglas High School, along with school administration, contacted the student. As a result of the investigation, the student was arrested and booked into the Douglas County Juvenile Detention Facility for making terroristic threats.
This appears to be an isolated incident, and no other threats to DHS or any other Douglas County Schools have been identified, according to DCSO.
