Firefighters knock down flames at Carson City residential office
Carson City firefighters arrived at a structure fire at 611 Telegraph at about 6:45 p.m. on Monday night. Located between Anderson and Walsh streets, the commercial-residential building was unoccupied at the time and construction work on the foundation appeared to have been ongoing with renovations and work being done on the inside.
According to officials, the fire made its way to the metal roof and attic of the building. Firefighters had to cut the top of the roof in order to get to the fire. Crews had flames and smoke snuffed out at around 7:30 p.m. The cause of the fire was undetermined as of Monday night. The building owner and a contractor arrived at the scene at about 7:30 p.m.
