TRPA announces Best in the Basin environmental planning project awards
The Tahoe Regional Planning Agency announced recipients of its 2013 Best in the Basin awards Monday. Award winners in the agency’s 24th annual Best in the Basin include remodel, new construction, Best Management Practices, stream restoration and erosion control projects that stand out as examples of the best environmental planning, design and implementation.
To evaluate projects with complete landscaping in place and in good weather conditions, nominees were judged in spring of this year. Award winners were selected by a panel of local professionals who work in the fields of architecture, landscaping, planning, engineering and resource management.
Here are the 2013 Best in the Basin award winners:

The Best in the Basin award recipients will be recognized during the September 24, 2014 TRPA Governing Board meeting in Stateline, Nev., starting at 9:30 a.m.
The nomination period for 2014 Best in the Basin awards runs from now until March 31, 2015. Projects must be complete and have their security returned by December 31, 2014. For an entry form and information about last year’s winners, go here.
