Carson City arrests: Man jailed for suspicion of felony domestic battery

A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday for felony suspicion of domestic battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor resisting arrest, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Mark David Stephens was taken into custody at 10:12 p.m. in the 1000 block of South Carson Street. He allegedly threw a butcher knife at the victim, striking the victim with the blunt end of the knife.

At the time of the arrest, Stephens resisted officers who attempted to place him in handcuffs. Deputies observed the room he was in was in disarray, strewn with items and there was a hole punched in the wall. At jail, he threatened to kill and rape deputies, the arrest report states. Bail: $15,352.

In other arrests:
— A 28-year-old Carson City man, Tyler Scott Schroeder, was arrested Thursday, noon, in the 200 block of Fairview for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, alprazolam pills without a prescription, and probation violation through the Department of Alternative Sentencing. Bail: $5,500.

— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday, 1:30 a.m. in the area of Carson and Winnie streets for a misdemeanor fugitive from justice warrant issued in Santa Rosa, Calif., and misdemeanor driving without a valid driver’s license. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing on the fugitive from justice warrant.

— A 56-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Thursday, 3:05 p.m. in the 4700 block of South Carson Street for a misdemeanor warrant for domestic battery issued August 30, 2017 out of Carson City Municipal Court. Bail: $7,637.

— A 20-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, 4:09 p.m. in the 1800 block of North Stewart Street for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued August 29, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.

— A 25-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 8:39 a.m. in the 500 block of East William Street for a misdemeanor failure to appear in court warrant issued in November 2016 out of Douglas County. Bail: $640.

— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 6:11 p.m. in the 1800 block of Rock Court for a misdemeanor failure to appear traffic warrant. He also faces a misdemeanor charge of speeding and driving without a valid license. Bail: $589.

— A Carson City man was booked into jail Wednesday, 9:45 a.m. for a misdemeanor failure to appear warrant issued April 11, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500.

— A 30-year-old Silver Springs man was booked into Carson City jail Wednesday, 8:35 a.m. for two misdemeanor violation of condition warrants issued July 3 and Aug. 29, 2017 out of Carson Cit Justice Court. Bail: $2,000.

— A 28-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Wednesday, 12:31 p.m. in the 3200 block of Market Street for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued August 15, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.

— A 36-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Wednesday, 1:21 p.m. for a misdemeanor violation of bail conditions warrant issued Sept. 18, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $3,000.

— A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested Wednesday, 10:44 p.m. in the 3500 block of Imperial Way for a misdemeanor Department of Alternative Sentencing warrant. Bail: $3,000.
