Carson City fire crews called to small fires at Roop and Northridge, 20 College Parkway
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were called Sunday evening to a small brush fire in the area of Roop Street and Northridge Drive.
The call came into dispatch at 6:57 p.m. regarding a small fire in the area. The fire was out by the time first responders arrived. The incident is under investigation.
Carson City Fire Department and sheriff's deputies were also called earlier to a small fire in the playground area at 20 College Parkway.
The call came into dispatch at 6:39 p.m. The fire was extinguished by the time firefighters arrived on scene. According to witnesses, two juveniles were seen in the area at the time of the fire.
Fire danger remains high in the Carson City area and across northern and western Nevada. There is a Red Flag Warning in effect through Monday due to gusty winds and low humidity.
