Full Moon Sunset Hike Saturday hosted by Carson City Parks and Rec
The Carson City Parks and Recreation department will host an interpretive hike tonight, September 14 from 6:00-8:00 pm.
This is the third annual Full Moon Sunset Hike. Hikers will be starting from the Koontz Lane Trailhead at Prison Hill and will be hiking up to the top to watch the Sunset over Carson.
A break will be had to rest and take photos and appreciate the sunset. Later, attendees will hike back down under the full moon.
Hikers will need to bring layers, close-toed shoes, a flashlight or headlamp, and plenty of water.
The hike is strenuous and hikers should be prepared for a roughly 2 mile hike.
If interested, meet at the Koontz Lane trail head before 6 p.m.
