Bidding continues: Greenhouse Project's Grateful Harvest online auction closes Sept. 18

The Greenhouse Project's Grateful Harvest Dinner is right around the corner and event though tickets are sold out, the online auction is underway and open to the public with an array of fabulous offerings, from experience and getaway packages to art and fine wines.

The auction closes at Sept. 18 at 8 p.m., the night of the dinner. All money raised at this annual event continues TGP's mission of agricultural education of Carson City students and provides fresh produce to the community's food insecure.

To bid, simply visit www.carsoncitygreenhouse.org where you will find an auction button. A new feature this year, will allow some items to go past the 8 p.m. close, due to "popcorn bidding," TGP's Executive Director Jon R explained. If someone bids during the last three minutes, the time is extended by three minutes each time there is a bid until three minutes plass without a bid. This prevents someone bidding during the last 30 seconds just to win an item.

Thanks to the contributors for providing the wide range of auction items.
