An intimate view of homelessness in Carson City: An interview with David Martinez
Based on US Census data some 10,000 people live below the poverty line in Carson City, but that does not nearly account for the people squatting in motel rooms or holed up in the bushes near public buildings.
Over recent weeks, Capital News Lab NV reporters have been speaking with the homeless who hang around grocery and convenience store parking lots to better understand the dimensions of the homeless problem in Carson City, and those inquiries led me to David Martinez.
