Nevada State Police seek witnesses, information into fatal crash where pedestrian was hit 3 times
Nevada State Police, Highway Patrol Division is asking for the public's help with information and witnesses who may have seen a fatal crash Sunday in Reno involving a pedestrian and three vehicles, two of which left the scene.
On Sunday at approximately 11:53 p.m., the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol responded to reports of a crash that happened on I-80 eastbound under the I-580 in Reno at the Spaghetti Bowl.
The preliminary investigation indicates that a pedestrian on the I-80 eastbound was struck by two vehicles and both vehicles left the scene. The description of the first vehicle is unknown. The description of the second vehicle was reported as a white SUV, according to a Nevada State Police NHP news release.
A third vehicle then struck the pedestrian. The driver of the third vehicle remained on-scene and is cooperating with investigators, according to NHP.
The pedestrian, an adult female, was pronounced dead at the scene.
