Carson City arrests: Mother jailed for suspicion of burglary, child abduction
A Carson City woman was taken into custody Saturday morning for suspicion of burglary and child abduction offenses after allegedly breaking into a residence and taking her child, a Carson City sheriff's deputy said.
Angela Isaac-Castaneda, 37, was arrested at her Tiger Drive residence, 7:02 a.m. following a report from the child's father that she had entered his residence through an unlocked window and took the child from the home, the arrest report states.
A sheriff's deputy later made contact with Isaac-Castaneda, who admitted to violating a court order on custody and visitation. She told law enforcement that because she was the child's mother, she could choose not to follow the order, the report said. Bail: $20,000.
