Carson City sheriff’s log: Man jailed for burglary, violation of protection order
A 36-year-old Carson City man was booked into jail Monday on suspicion of burglary and being in violation of a temporary protection order, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the location at 9:11 p.m. for a report of a residential burglary in progress in the 2300 block of Sherman Lane. Officers arrived and found the suspect, Lloyd Stevens, exiting the residence.
The west door of the residence had been pried open and a door to a shed on the side of the house had padlocks broken off, the arrest report states. There were two large trash bags full of clothes that had been removed from the residence and were in van parked near the home, the report states. A computer check showed the man had a protection order placed on him and he was not allowed to be within 100 yards of the residence. Bail: $21,137.
— A 24-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 11:39 p.m. in the 3000 block of south Carson Street on a misdemeanor warrant charge, violation of conditions, out of Carson City Justice Court. He was stopped while driving at a high rate of speed and found to be in possession of a folding knife and several fixed blade knives. As part of court order conditions, in which he is to appear Sept. 15, 2015, he was not to possess weapons and to obey all laws. Bail: $3,000.
— A 45-year-old Carson City man was arrested Thursday, Aug. 20, in the 700 block of Fleischmann Way on a misdemeanor charge of battery. According to the arrest report, officers were called to the area at 3:50 a.m. and made contact with the victim who stated a patient who had been discharged punched and scratched him and threatened staff. The suspect was arrested without incident. Bail: $1,132.
