Tri-Net: Drug task force breaks up huge Carson City meth supplier ring
More than three pounds of methamphetamine along with weapons were seized and several were arrested Wednesday at a home raid in Carson City following a three-month investigation, according to the Tri-Net drug task force.
Arrest warrants were executed in Carson City and the Bakersfield, California area. During the investigation, a decade long Mexican drug trafficking organization was dismantled in Carson City, according to Sgt. Dan Johnson, Nevada Department of Public Safety Investigation Division of the Tri-Net Narcotic Task Force.
This single drug trafficking organization was responsible for importing an estimated 200 pounds of methamphetamine into the Carson City area in the last 10 years, said Johnson. The search warrants included a residence on Monte Rosa in Carson City and numerous bank accounts at Wells Fargo.
The search warranted resulted in 3.72 pounds of meth and 3 weapons seized.

Arrested in Bakersfield was:
— Hugo Diaz-Lizarraga, 34 years old. He faces felony multiple charges of trafficking a controlled substance, Level III three counts, three counts conspiracy and being a fugitive from justice
This was a case conducted by the Tri-NET Narcotic Task Force and was assisted by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team and the Carson City Sheriff’s Office Street Enforcement Team. Bakersfield DEA, Bakersfield Police Department, California Highway Patrol and Reno DEA also assisted in this case.
