Carson City’s Petsmart hosts ‘Clear the Shelter’ carnival fundraiser and adoption event Saturday
From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday Carson City’s Petsmart next to Lowe’s is hosting a “Clear the Shelter” carnival-themed adoption and fundraiser event.
“It’s our first year joining the event,” said Petsmart Manager Rachel Garcia. “We have several different shelters here along with food, face painting, and more.”
Outside in the parking lot you can fine kettle corn and hot dogs at $1 each. Inside, you’ll fine cake and face painting, each $1, and free Dutch Bros.
All money goes back into the donations for the local shelters.
Hero is a two year old pit bull who is currently at the event and up for adoption. Hero was rescued by local shelter Res-Que after being extremely under weight at a Winnemucca shelter. He is a very good and calm boy despite all the hubbub.
In addition to hero there are several feisty kittens up for adoption. Those with a lack of self control around adorable fur balls should definitely stay away (or don’t, and take one home!)
Stop by Petsmart today to support our local shelters.
