Carson City deputies make drug, warrant arrests
A 36-year-old Carson City woman was arrested in the 2500 block of Kit Sierra for parole and probation violation, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of paraphernalia.
According to the report, Lindsie Newman was arrested by Special Enforcement Team deputies after they learned that Newman, a parolee absconder, was staying at a residence on Kit Sierra Way.
Deputies went to the location and knocked on an RV door, which was ajar and the air conditioner was running. A man came out to speak with deputies and confirmed Newman was inside.
Deputies spoke with Newman and detained her in handcuffs on the active warrant through Nevada Parole and Probation. A search of her possessions produced heroin paraphernalia along with heroin residue.
She was taken into custody without incident.
No Bail.
— A 36-year-old Carson City man and a 26-year-old Carson City woman were arrested in the 1400 block of S. Carson Street during a traffic stop. The woman was arrested on a Failure to appear warrant, driving without insurance and driving without registration. The man was arrested on a Parole and Probation warrant after deputies called him and asked him to take possession of a child in the backseat.
According to the report, Jonathon Louis Waters and the woman were arrested by Special Enforcement Team deputies after stopping a vehicle driven by the woman that had no license plates.
Deputies stopped the vehicle and asked the woman for her license, registration and insurance, which she could provide none of. Deputies ran her name through dispatch, who advised she had an active warrant through Carson City Justice Court for failure to appear.
The woman had a child in the backseat of the vehicle, and deputies attempted to call the child’s father, Waters, to take custody of the child. They went to Waters’ home and knocked on the door, but he did not respond to deputies.
However, they were later able to get ahold of Waters who agreed to come to the scene. When he arrived he was taken into custody on his own warrant.
No Bail for Waters.
Bail for the woman: $25,720 cash only
— A 34-year-old Dayton woman was arrested on a Lyon County warrant issued July 30.
Bail: $3,140 cash only
